Casa Ojo is located in the Ojo Valley, just four miles south of the the famous Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs. In the old days, a stage coach would take the journey along the Ojo Road to the mineral springs and back from destinations within a day’s time. Today, there are scores of destinations within a 50-mile radius of Casa Ojo. Take the Carson Road to Taos and marvel at the open skies above the Taos Plateau and the depths to the Rio Grande below the Gorge Bridge. Rise early for a hike on the Chama Wilderness trail on your way to see architect George Nakashima’s stunning Church of Christ in the Desert, and have lunch with the monks. Wander the otherworldly landscapes at Ghost Ranch or Plaza Blanca with a stop at Bode’s General Store.
